Ask any professional cook about Cephalon and you'll soon learn about Cephalon and its quality. And Amazon gave me a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to own one. (The price was phenominal)! I bought the big dutch oven with the rounded top. I don't think that I could over-work it. In short, I'm excited to say, "I own a Cephalon"

Great for slow cooking October 8, 2005

Have now used this pot on several occasions. It's great for stews, pot roasts and other slow cooked meals. The size is perfect for that 5 pound pot roast and all the trimmings. Can be used in the oven, which only increases its versatility. Is a wonderful addition to my cookware. Have always been happy with the Calphalon brand.

This pan is great for pot roasts and for those special occasions when you are cooking for a lot of people.
I am using it for big parties cooking chicken/goat/lamb curries. It is spacious enough so you can really stir without fear of spillage. The only thing I do not care about hard-anodized calphalon pans is that if you subject them to high heat for an extended period of time, food items scorch and stick to the bottom and then even after you have successfully removed the burnt pieces, a dark stain remains.

This is a good size pot! I've got pots of every shape and size, and each one has its specific uses. Sometimes you need one a little (or lot) bigger, sometimes you need one smaller. This one is JUST RIGHT for so many things! I love it!

A Great Gift October 1, 2005
This was such an excellent buy that I bought one for my kitchen and one for my daughter's kitchen. What fun when making and serving soups, chile, and stews to the crowd.
