This is an awesome BIG pot! September 30, 2005
I love this pot! I recently was canning tomatoes and I finished quicker than I ever have before! Then I made a batch of chili and it was awesome for that too! I love this line of calphalon! It's the best!

I really like this Calphalon 7 Qt. Chef's Casserole. I've read other reviews about the material not being heavy enough but I don't find that to be true. It's certainly not thin, although yes, it is made in China.
I have used this as a stock pot, simmered pepper butter (without scorching), baked BBQ country-style ribs. Excellent results each time & easy clean-up. Can use metal utensils & for the price (approx. $20.00) I find this to be a great pot at a great price.
