4 out of 5 stars Great projection clock, so-so atomic clock   November 22, 2005
5 out of 7 found this review helpful

This is a great projection clock. My son has a loft bed and we could never get a good solution for him to be able to tell time up top. This was a great solution! The atomic clock feature has never worked properly but that is easily overlooked because you can set the clock yourself. However, if that is a feature that is important, you may want to look elsewhere. I have to say we don't use the alarm feature though we did accidentally set it one time and it certainly seemed loud enough. As for projection during the daytime we've never really cared since it was always meant to tell time in the dark though if that is important I can't say it's that strong. Overall I would say a great little projection clock for $20. It does what it should, you can see the time in the dark and it keeps time!

5 out of 5 stars Too good with this tiny object   November 1, 2005

Besides the projection clock, Atomic setting, it shows the indoor temperature. It also displays the date + weekday (Mon~Sun) with 3 languages settings (English, French and Spanish). Another feature I love, even it includes the 3V adapter, it works fine with only battery operated so that it becomes portable. The alarm has the special beeping which it beeps in the first 20 seconds, then 2 beeps between 20~50seconds,3 beeps between 50~1 minute, then it continues beeps after 1 minute. It's good since simetimes you don't want the clock interrupt your wife's sleep. I think it's a good buy with $19.99 (but I saw somewhere selling it at $18.50 :-()

5 out of 5 stars Two strong features   October 30, 2005

This clock has two strong features, it projects the time on the ceiling, so you can look up and see what time it is all night long. We have a high cathredial ceiling and it works just fine. Also this is a self setting atomic clock, so you just put the battery in and it will set itself. Twice a year, during the time change, it will adjust itself so you do not have to set it. Most of my clocks are atomic clocks now, and I know they are dependable to give me the accurate time of day. Atomic clocks of course are the size of a room, and they do not actually have a clock on them that you can read. They send out a radio signal to quartz clocks so you can see the time. Every now and then they will adjust them by a second or so to get them to line up with the solar system. I think they have made three adjustments in the last 11 years on the atomic clocks. Of course they are much more accurate than seconds, but our clocks only measure time in seconds.

4 out of 5 stars Works exactly as expected   September 27, 2005

Being able to see the time without having to sit up in the middle of the night is soooo convenient.

We're hooked to having this clock in our bedroom. I've even gifted this to my parents and brothers.

We like this little clock. Shipped swiftly. Fairly easy to work. Atomic feature set the time, date, etc. within 30 minutes. Projection is rather small and lasts only a few seconds unless you use the adapter. (Provided)
