I love this pan. Its a little smaller then I was "hoping" but thats my issue :-) also, its heavvyyy...but that what makes it great. I am going to get the silicon sleve for its handles.

5 out of 5 stars Nothing but good things...   January 5, 2008

I have nothing but great things to say about this pan. I make eggs and omelets on a regular basis and don't have any sticking issues at all. With cast iron you should cook on medium to low, as this will reduce things sticking to the pan. I start on medium and turn down from there. You just don't need to cook any hotter than that. I do 99% of my cooking with my Le Creuset pans (I own 5 of them) and dutch/french ovens so I guess I'm use to it.

It took me a while to get the hang of cooking with cast iron, but once I did, I gave my other pots and pans away.

1 out of 5 stars Everything sticks   January 3, 2008

I am very disappointed. Everything I've tried to cook in this pan sticks. Useless for frying eggs.

4 out of 5 stars le Creuset 9" skillet   December 12, 2007
It's the best! I have to be honest - I miss the old detachable wooden handle and lighter weight of the 60's-70's model skillets- As one's hands get older the heavier weight is harder to manage. But as a pan for cooking, frying, sauteeing, nothing beats a le Creuset skillet.

5 out of 5 stars Amazon does it again!   September 13, 2007

Now, i have bought many pieces of Le Creuset Cookware as it tends to be my gift of choice for weddings etc. but when Amazon has its sales on this brand they cant be beat! I bought 8 of these skillets in the past year for prices ranging from $39-49 and have been very pleased. They are not seconds, they come well packaged and are wonderful all-round. Le Creuset has a very well deserved, good reputation. Their cookware is well-made, heavy and has a great warranty. They cook even and if looked after maintain their appearance which in my opinion is good enough for the table at informal dinner parties or family get togethers. Plus they have a wide variety of interesting colors for almost any kitchen preference. I personally stick with Red and Blue as gifts but i have a full set of Dune which i love.
