I would higher recommend Calphalon One cookware to anyone who likes good no stick cookware and is trying to avoid teflon. Great for houses with birds like ours.

good quality but gets burned on high heat.It gets difficult to clean it afterwards.Scrubing affects the coating on the surface.

I ordered this at a really good price a year ago. I guess you get what you pay for. I was expecting a top of the line Calphalon product (a company I had respected for years) to perform as advertised. The reviews at the time seemed to indicate that it was a good pan and that it would work well. Unfortunately that was not my experience with the pan over the last year.

The first month or two, things seemed to be ok, but just ok. It never really released food like my other cheap non-stick pans from the local mega-mart did. They would take a beating from metal utensils and still release food easily after years of use, even when they were washed in the dishwasher. Over the last year, the pan has gone far downhill. It is now to the point that cooking eggs in this pan is more of a chore than it's worth. They stick, even with reasonable amounts of olive oil applied to the pan (a practice that I have been using for this pan for almost every use), and are very hard to clean off. For cleaning, I have only ever washed it in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or a non-stick safe scrubby by hand. It has never been in the dish washer, not once.

I am very dissappointed in this pan. Based on reviews here for this same pan though, it would appear that this is something that can happen sometimes, but that most people get a very good pan for the money that works as expected. As a result, I am going to contact Calphalon for a warranty replacement and see what that "Lifetime" warranty is worth. I will update this review after that with the results of that endeavor.

This Calphalon One Nonstick Griddle came with a much lower price tag than most Calphalon One Nonstick. We are finding many uses for it.
