We have two of these units and they worked perfectly right out of the box! In a matter of days, everyone in our household noticed the difference. Additionally, it's easy to clean and refill.

Louder than normal for Warm Mist Humidifier December 29, 2005

This is about the 4th warm mist type humidifier I have owned in the past 10 years. I prefer the warm mist over the cool mist because there is no white dust, it keeps the room warmer while providing moisture overnight, and because they are quieter than cool mist.

The performance of the humidifier is fine regarding its functioning in adding moisture to the room. The cleaning of this model is improved over previous models with the addition of the mineral deposit pad. However, I have graded this model 3 stars as it is significantly louder than previous warm mist humidifier models I have owned. There is a constant gurgling sound that varies in intensity, so it is definitely NOT a white-noise soothing effect. It is rather annoying and several times I have had to shut it down in the middle of the night because the noise was disconcerting. If you plan on using this model just during day, I'm sure the noise would not be quite so bothersome. I will buy a different humidifier for next year strictly based on the gurgling noise.

My son and I have battled with dry sinus issues with the lovely cold dry air in MN. We have tried two other humidifiers that haven't done the job. I researched many different makes and models over the last month and finally decided on this one. It arrived yesterday. I cannot beleive what a difference it made in just a short time!

It is easy to fill and move to one room from another. We placed ours on the medium setting and let it run overnight. We were pleasantly surprised to wake up this morning without stuffy noses or sore throats! My son didn't even snore last night!

We love this product and hope it holds up through lots of continuous use!

Three in a row defective December 19, 2005

I like the design and good when it works, but the first one I bought leaks from the tank. Returned it for a replacement and the second one worked for a few weeks and then went dead. I decided to give Honeywell the benefit of the doubt and returned it for a third - it just went dead this morning again after about two weeks.

Disappointing pruchase December 19, 2005

This unit was great while it worked, but I warn you against buying this product. Read some of the reviews on other similar Honeywell models.

This unit stopped functioning after about a week of moderate use. No lights, and certainly no action. The display went blank and would not turn back on.
