5 out of 5 stars Perfect little breadmaker!   June 5, 2008

My husband and I have really been enjoying our Zojirushi. It's small enough so we have have it on the kitchen table, and I've tried a number of the recipes in the booklet that came with it. They've turned out well. Now I'd like to find some recipes that use more whole grains and experiment a little.

5 out of 5 stars I LOVE this machine   May 29, 2008

This 1-lb loaf breadmaking machine is just great for my husband and I as empty nesters. It's so easy to use and the smell of a fresh-baked loaf is a heavenly scent. I LOVE the bread it makes, well I LOVE it too much, but it's a somewhat "innocent" pleasure. I store what bread that is not gobbled up right away in a Ziplock gallon size bag and it has kept fresh for five days and counting. This bread makes WONDERFUL toast as well. The machine is easy to use, easy to clean, and does not take up too much space on the counter. It is somewhat pricy tho, but I think it is a good investment.

5 out of 5 stars Best little bread machine around   May 28, 2008

I have had three bread machines and this was my most recent purchase. I bought it just before Christmas and have used it just about every day for the most foolproof bread around. It never faulters and my family loves the end product.

If you purchase this bread machine I suggest you also purchase "Bread Machine Magic", by Linda Rehberg & Lois Conway. They have bread making down to a science and every recipe I have tried so far has been a big winner. If you have put your bread machine in the closet order this book and I promise it won't go back to the closet again.

A great combo, order the two together and you'll never by store bought bread again. Besides you'll save money. I can make a 1 lb. loaf for under a dollar and that's with the best flour you can buy, which is King Arthurs unbleached all-purpose. No need to buy bread flour when you use King Arthurs flour! Check them out at www.kingarthurflour.com.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous   May 8, 2008

My first bread maker, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I have sure enjoyed this bread maker. Like everyone else, I bought it because of its size and my limited counter space. It fits very nicely on my counter, and is very quiet when operating. We have tried many of the breads in the cookbook that came with it and have loved all of them. I don't think I could ever go back to store-bought bread. For those of you who have never had a bread maker (like me)- making bread is extremely easy. It takes about 5 minutes to measure carefully and put the ingredients in the pan and that is it! One loaf of bread lasts us (3 people) about 1 1/2 days - it makes about 8 slices of bread. But it is so easy to make, and tastes so wonderful when fresh. I HIGHLY recommend this bread maker.

5 out of 5 stars Bread   May 2, 2008

My wife baked our own bread for over 25 years and when she could no longer do it I took over. I then baked for the next 25 years and I grow to weak to handle a six loaf batch that I make. So we bought a breadmaker. I kick myself now for wasted years where I would simply dropped in a few ingredients and had fresh bread quickly and easily. The machine does and good job if one follows the recipe.
