Excellent 2-seater bench July 16, 2007

I've only had the collection for a couple weeks (see customer photos) and I'm very impressed.

The 2-seater bench fits two comfortably and complements the matching chairs and table perfectly. It is sturdy and very well made and the rich black color looks great on my patio. The cushions have held up to rain and various droppings from the trees above the patio. Simply brushing them off has kept them looking new.

I would strongly recommend this bench and the entire Strathwood Bahia set to anyone.

Very nice loveseat, well-constructed and well-made. Definitely nicer than the majority of outdoor furniture items at the local home improvement store. But, I can't believe the condition in which it arrived. Clearly, it has been used ... not gently used ... USED.

The loveseat had two places where it appeared that a bird had crapped on it -- very easy to see since the markings were white and the furniture black. The wicker had leaves, small twigs, and dried grass in it. In addition, the seat cushions & pillows are dirty -- marks, dirt and stains. And, in several places the wicker had been damaged. Finally, the bottom of the loveseat & the legs had been damaged. It appeared worn, almost as if it had been dragged across concrete (for some time).

Why am I paying for new in-the-box furniture when it is shipped in this condition? I would expect an item in this condition if it was sold on Fleabay. But as new at Amazon? Completely unacceptable. Even if it was only $150 shipped.

Overall, I am very disappointed. I have decided to return it and obtain a lower quality, lower price item at Lowe's. I would prefer this one, but NEW. At least at Lowe's, I know it'll be new.
