I received this as a gift last Christmas and as a person that has a glass every day with my dinner, it has made it possible for me to purchase wine by the magnum and not worry about it going bad over the course of a week due to this handy device.

This seems like such a great idea, however the Houdini Wine saver that I bought has faulty stoppers, they do not hold the vacuum, and so do not preserve the wine. Try another wine saver product.

I have been using these products for years and they always create a seal. I moisten the stopper with water first. I use them on white as well as red wine.
