2 out of 5 stars Release button does not work   January 1, 2008
The concept works as far as creating a tight vacuum, but the release button does nothing and the stopper is so tight I can't get it open?

5 out of 5 stars Easy and Effective   November 21, 2007

My wife purchased this for me and it works great. You put the wine in, place the top on and use the pump to remove the air. It takes 5 seconds and it lasts for days without losing the pressure. If air oxidizes wine and makes it bad then this will prevent that. I like mine. However now they came out with one that can simply be used with the bottle of wine that you have. No decanter necessary. If you feel you cannot operate this then you need to stop drinking wine.

1 out of 5 stars so looking forward to it....but greatly dissappointed   October 21, 2007

I was really thinking this would be great. Great concept and marketing hype. The product just does not work like stated in write ups. The release of vacuum does not ever work. Hard to get off. Easy to work on the pressure side ....just a pain to use when you want to. I would recommend finding something else. Already threw this one away,

5 out of 5 stars This is what I have been searching for...   October 4, 2007

My wife can't drink red wine. I hate to open a good bottle of red since I'm the only one drinking it. I have tried several products including an expensive wine saver that used nitrogen cartridges (also expensive.) This is a good example of KISS. It is easy to use. I had no problem at all in using the pump like another reviewer. The pump and stopper has a FIVE-year guarantee - I saved my Amazon receipt. You do have to muscle the plug out of a vacuum flask, but if you can deal with corks, I don't think it's a big problem. Use your thumbs and rock the large cap back and forth. The real test was the wine. It was very good. I have tried everything and usually drink the whole bottle because that's been about the only way to have it taste fresh. But my last bottle I kept three days and just re-pumped it after opening. I'm writing this because I read the negative reviews and I think this a very good product. I'm happy and don't feel compelled to guzzle the wine.
