Love these chairs,bought 2 of them for front yard. You have to build them yourself. They are very sturdy and durable.

The chair arrived in a very damamged box and as a result, there was a large gouge on the backrest of the chair, in addition to other nicks and chips in the wood. I contacted Amazon and they sent out a replacement quickly. The replacement chair also lacked proper finishing and the wood would cause splinters in several spots. The chair is easy to assemble and is a good purchase if you don't mind either doing some woodworking or having a used chair.

My first ottoman broke within 3 days of putting it together and the other is on the way out after one full season. I need to keep tightening the chairs on a monthly basis or they feel like they will crumble.

After reading these other reviews, I decided to wait a while to post a review. I bought two of these chairs summer 04 and they are doing great. Relatively easy to put together and really sturdy. They are still looking good with no issues with fading or anything. My wife would make me get rid of these if there was any issue or problem with them at all. I hope she doesn't read this!

They are very attractive and we had no trouble putting them together. Our only complaint - the stain ran during a rain storm and stained our patio.
