My wife had a stand mixer but wanted something that wouldn't take up counter space and still had the power for general baking needs. We were surprised how quickly the mixer arrived after ordering, and she is very pleased with its design, controls, and how well it handles a variety of mixing chores.

Superior product--powerful, sturdy and easy to use. Performs a multitude of mixing tasks--handy for small to medium-sized jobs. Plus, Kitchen Aid's rebate system was fast. Overall, completely satisfied.

I am so glad to have a hand mixer I can depend on! I don't use a mixer a great deal, but have managed to burn up two mixers in the last 3 months! I finally decided to spend just a little bit more and get this Kitchen Aid. So far I am well pleased with its performance and am looking forward to using it for a long time to come. Also, I was glad to find just what I wanted on Amazon.com when the local stores I have to choose from really didn't have much of a selection.

Pretty Nifty September 29, 2005
I had the 3-speed Kitchenaide hand mixer for many years. It was reliable and powerful. I "upgraded" to this model because there was a good deal on the price. What a great decision. The speed control selection greatly improves my ability to use this mixer to prepare foods/recipes I could not with the 3- speed. The mixer is well balanced and when I need to scrape the bowl easily rests in an upright position on the counter.
