We love this coffee maker... I can't tell you how many times we make coffee and it went to waste, in the old glass bowl design.... With this we make how many cups we want. It brews the coffee fairly quick also. Maybe 5mins or less, not long enough to notice, that is for sure. Start the coffee, get some toast or whatever else and the coffee is finished...

Perfect for my desk at work. Fresh cup of coffee every morning..just for me. I don't have to make a whole pot for the office, or chip in money every week for a brand of coffee I don't like. I love it.

I'm the only coffee drinker in my home, and I got tired of making a whole pot that just went stale on the hot plate. I thought about pod coffeemakers, and settled on this simpler solution. After about 3-4 trials with differing amounts of coffee and fineness of grind, I quickly hit upon the way to make a superb cup of hot coffee. This is a really nice gadget. The coffee is hot and strong. Permanent filter works well and cleans up quickly (I haven't tried paper ones on this yet). I like that it clicks off automatically, too. The reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the plastic travel mug that ships with it is an ugly and useless piece of junk. I would rather not have paid for it. I put my own coffee cup in there (there's plenty of room for a tall mug), and it works just fine. I'm thinking of buying a second one for my office!

Purchased this for a 20 year old who wanted to start making her own coffee. It's working out perfectly. She doesn't have to make a whole pot which won't be drank, and if she doesn't finish it all it travels to work with her. But, did find it a few dollars cheaper when shopping in the City recently.
