There is no need to purchase this product. Just save a few spoon cups of yogurt and mix it with warm milk and let it cool down. I make about a gallon of yogurt every week without using any of these products.

You gotta be kidding me... This was just 2 little envelops but it came to me in a box large enough to ship 3 hard-bound novels. I don't see how they could make any money if it weren't for the almost $4 in shipping. It could have been mailed for less than $2 and made more sense... or they could have shipped it with the yogurt maker. I guess the stuff works... we made yogurt. I won't be ordering any more but if it's in a store it might make sense.

It performed very well for the primary batch. I have not yet compared it with using commercial plain yogurt as starter. However, since this has an extended shelf life, it is easy to keep on hand without refrigeration.

This really works. I just added half bag for 1 Quart milk, and the yogurt came out really good. But just like other start, it's not as powerful as using the leftover yogurt.

This product was supposed to be shipped along with other items I bought. But it was packaged seperately. It cost like $2 for the product and nearly $6 for shipping..Then when Ireturned it immediately after calling and telling them I was not wanting it shipped seperately and to keep it. They said it was too late it was on its way and to send it back for a refund. I did just that. Sent it right back that next day after it arrived in my mail box. I then see on my e-mail a note that they have refunded me the $2 for the product and NOT the $6 for the shipping and handlin. What a rip off. If they had just sent it with everything else they way they were supposed to......................
