Thanks to the reviews here I purchased this iron to replace a Rowenta that had multiple problems. I love the digital display, now I always use the right setting for my clothes (with other irons I would just use whatever it was set at last time and sometimes that was way too hot). It also tells me when the self-cleaning feature needs to be used (the lack of cleaning may have been part of the problem with my previous iron, oops). I've had no problems with water leakage like I've had with other irons. So far this has been a great iron.

I am very happy with my purchase. I have had more expensived irons and they did not work as good as this one. It's easy to use and a great value for the money. I would not hesitate in purchasing another one.

Heats up quickly, steams well, and I like the beep when ready feature.
The stainless steel bottom glides easily and makes the job much easier. Easy to read the controls, too.

Black & Decker Advntage Iron March 1, 2006
I thought I wanted one of the expensive irons and my hubbie did the research and suggested this one. Ordered it, received quickly and I am more than pleased with the outcome. This is a great iron for the money. I say 5 stars to Black and Decker for a superb product.

This is definitely the best iron I've ever owned, heats up super quick, nice weight to it, smooth guideplate and tons of steam right off the bat. The only thing wrong with it is when I shut off the steam, it doesn't shut off, it keeps steaming. I rarely don't need steam so its not a big deal.
