Tricky Little Devil October 25, 2008

I've had this coffee maker for just a little over a year and have been pleased with it up until about a month ago. I started noticing that the clock was losing time. Every night I would have to reset the clock so the coffee would automatically brew in the morning. Then I noticed water all over the counter after every brewing. Then, it just started shutting off. I unplugged and plugged back in and nothing. I leave it plugged in and sometimes I'll see the clock is working again. This morning I took every screw (and there was about 50 of them) out of the coffee pot and never could get the thing to come apart to look inside and see if I could figure out what was wrong. So, I put "most" of the screws back in and about 30 minutes later noticed the clock was working and I was able to brew an entire pot of coffee without it shutting off. And, it stayed on for 2 hours and beeped to let me know it was shutting off. I never know when the thing is going to work or not so I'm shopping for a new one. Can't believe this expensive Cuisinart has so many other bad reviews for the same problems. You would think the company would fix them once and for all.

I LOVED this when we got this for our wedding! It's or unique, stylish and it works greats! Easier to clean than any coffee pot that I have had!!

Poor design October 21, 2008
This coffee maker looks great, but it's not practical. The resevoir opening for the water is so small! You will get water everywhere! If you are left handed, then you're even worse off...Nice to look at, not so nice for everyday use..especially in the morning!

Still crying over spilled coffee October 19, 2008

I used to be in heaven every morning when this machine made delicious coffee before I even awoke. Perfect cups of java available alll morning! Alas, my joy only lasted just shy of one year, when I woke up to coffee all over my countertop and floor. And no matter how I treated my (ex-)love, the leaking would not stop. So, I feel used and abused. To fall in love so deeply, and then to so abruptly end our relationship without any warning... I wish I had never met this cuisinart coffee-on-demand. My heart is broken over spilled coffee.

I liked this coffee maker while it was working, good concept. At about six months, however, it started leaking and then soon thereafter it didn't work at all. Even though there was power, it didn't brew. Based upon my experience I wouldn't recommend this coffee maker. Plus it wasn't cheap. I have gone back to a "basic" coffee maker.
