5 out of 5 stars LaLanne's Juicer   July 30, 2008
This is the best juicer ever. We had another model we got as a gift and it sounded like a jet turbo warming up, The LaLanne juicer has to be 10 times quieter. It seems like the pulp is almost dry. It really does what the infomercials say it does but Amazon had the best price. We got the stainless model for a few bucks more but the white one has the same innards, I just liked the black and stainless trim better. Cleans up easy too, what more is there?

5 out of 5 stars I love this juicer!   July 19, 2008
Great juicer. I don't find it difficult to clean unless I use very soft fruits or vegetables by themselves. I love it!

4 out of 5 stars juicer   June 27, 2008

I like the juicer but there are a couple design problems. The spout does not open up very much. The base stops the spout thus if you are not careful the juice backs up if it is somewhat thick. I like to make enough juice to fill a 12-16oz cup. This won't fit under the unit. I have solved this by placing the juicer on a high counter with the spout over the edge. I then catch the juice with a funnel placed in the cup. I was determined to make this purchase work out. Other helpful hints, keep a blender near by for your bananas and papaya these will not work in the juicer. Then mix your juice from the juicer into the blender to blend. Enjoy, where there is a will there is a way.

3 out of 5 stars Not the best product.   June 18, 2008

The concept is great of juicing your way to health but the design has alot to be desired. If you're not careful, you will wind up with pulp all over the walls. So not only are you cleaning the juicer but spending extra time cleaning the walls too. The info-mercial raves about how little pulp there is in the collector unit but what they fail to show you is how much also accumulates on the underside of the top piece of the unit. The big selling point was the 3 easy payments. I thought about returning it within the first 30 days but figured since I paid so much for shipping, I might as well keep it and deal with the shortcomings. Juicing is still a good option.

Note: I also have another Braun juicer from 20 years ago or so and it still works great and there's no chance of the pulp hitting the walls on that one. The only thing with this one is that the chute is very small. I will be taking this juicer to the office so I can juice at work.

1 out of 5 stars Wasted fruit and money.   June 10, 2008

I have to agree with others who have said this machine is wasteful. When Jack mentions you can extract more juice for just pennies I thought, "Hey why not give it a try." However, after trying this product we can't justify the cost since we buy organic fruit. By the time the juicer is done most of what you and I would eat ends up in the pulp collector and we're rewarded with only a measly amount of juice.

Not to mention that there is over six pieces to clean after each use. Moreover in the TV infomercial Jack puts whole fruits in the juicer with piths, leaves, and even the stems. In reality, the instructions advise you against doing such a thing. Overall, in the long run it would be more cost effective and healthier if you just stuck with your blender.
