Actual size of this 35-gallon toolbox January 22, 2008

Just received this box and am going to use it on the back of my mid-size pickup (2008 Chevy Colorado) for additional storage. This container is really perfect for this chore! It can be easily bungee corded in or by any other method you wish to use and it provides a great weather tight area on the outside of your cab to place generous size items that you do not wish to be inside your cab area. Plus, it can be taken out of the bed of your truck in seconds to utilize all that space that you have back there when large moving projects come around! Mine will be bungeed to the frond of the box facing the rear.
The sizes stated in Amazons ad can be confusing. The actual outside measurement sizes are: 38.8 inches wide, 19.8 inches deep (front to back) and 17.7 inches high. A perfect size for my 'mid-size pick-up'. Hope this info helps you to make your decision, much easier.

For the purpose of use, works great. I was not impressed with the side handles, too shallow and no directions. The product says you can mount in back of trucks or whatever, again no directions. After calling company, they said just to use a cord/rope to hold down using the lid. This method works, but you can see how useful it would be to just cut the cord and take the whole thing. You would have thought rubbermaid could have come up w/a simple attachment, instead of bad marketing. Would not recommend.

I knew what I wanted and it works great for what I need. I wish I would have looked around in my area a little better before I ordered because I found the larger version for only a few dollars more than I paid.

Rubbermaid ActionPacker 35-Gallon Toolbox August 27, 2007
My husband had previously broken another toolbox my Son had installed on our 18 ft trailer. This one is a bit bigger and works perfectly to carry all the necessary tie downs and straps he needs for his hauling. Great Value and looks good too.

Big and Tough August 23, 2007
We've used a couple smaller ActionPackers for camping. Got this one for a "camp kitchen." Should have room for all the gear plus dry goods, etc. These things are great--can be used as a seat or table. Tough enough to deter many pesky small critters and should stay dry in most storms.
