best portable charcoal grill made October 18, 2008
My wife and I were looking for a cast iron grill that would produce the kind of charring, grill marks and overall charcoal enhanced flavor that is usually available only with this type of tool. Years ago we owned a Hibachi type grill that was not bad in giving us such results. However, we couldn't locate another one of that type, but we found this model on the internet. Our "Lodge Logic" is much better than the old Hibachi!!

We use it mainly for chicken fajitas. The grill heats up quickly and produces beautiful crunchy grill marks and southwest flavor in no time. And it maintains grilling temperature for several hours without adding more charcoal. Grill your chicken and toss on a couple of flour tortillas for a few seconds to warm, and you're ready to go!

The other nice thing is there is practically no clean-up. The intense heat takes care of most of the residue. Chicken does not seem to produce quite the oil deposit that beef does, but this little grill would still be pretty simple to clean. Basically, just wipe of the grill and dump the ashes. It is very simple, efficient and it's made in the USA!

Best hibahi hands down! October 3, 2008
This is just simply the best small charcoal grill on the market. It retains heat very well and the food just taste better. Clean up is little cumbersome like any other charcoal grill. I use it more that my weber. I highly recommend this product. It's well worth the price.

Lodge-a-riffic!!!! October 2, 2008
Second Lodge Hibachi that I own. Got a part for my first one after 5 years of year-round use, several x a week. It was as easy as ABC from the Lodge company. I use "real" wood charcoal and cook all year here in NJ. The price was soooo fabulous on Amazon that I bought the 2nd one! 1/3 the price of the one purchased in a store. Gotta love it!

I LOVE my new Lodge Cast Iron Grill. I cooked a whole chicken on it recently, and my husband raved about the flavor. I have it sitting on my patio right outside my kitchen and love how small it is. Cast iron is the only way to cook and I am so happy to have found a cast iron charcoal grill. Pam from Aurora

By far the best little bbq ever. Very well built and thought out.
Only thing missing is a nice cast iron lid! Now that would be perfect!
