3 out of 5 stars No more 30 day price guarantee from Amazon!!!   October 24, 2008

This is the reply from Amazon when I request a price guarantee refund:

"I understand you may have taken advantage of a 30-day price guarantee policy in the past. However, that policy was discontinued on September 1, 2008."

5 out of 5 stars Better than higher end LCD TV's and much more affordable.   October 20, 2008

Simply put, you will not be disappointed. Plasma TV's today are not what they used to be. If you do you research you will find most videophiles will have Plasma TVs. I upgraded from an older Sony LCD TV and am very very happy. The picture is amazing, the black levels and color are superb. If you are considering getting this, do. Do not let the lower price fool you, that is only a result of people's false perception of plasma being bad and their false knowledge of thinking LCD's are better, driving the price down.

5 out of 5 stars Best value for the money   October 18, 2008

I wanted to upgrade from a Sony Plasma that I had for 3 years. The features including an antiglare screen, a high Native Contrast Ratio of 30,000:1, a high dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, long rated screen life and 3 HDMI inputs were the big selling points. Second only to Pioneer, with the lower cost, I felt that this was an excellent value.

After about 6 months of use, the concern of burn in has been a non-issue. I have my screen set to Automatic Pixel shifter so I can decrease the chance of any burn in.

The quality of the picture is incredible and the pictures are vivid. Sound quality from its internal speakers is average to low but with external speakers this is a minor complaint.

The universal remote control works well. I have the television, DVD player, VCR (Yes, I still have one) and the Cable TV are controlled with the one remote.

Menu systems are intuitive and easy to set. There are 3 HDMI inputs which are convenient with all of the peripherals necessary. A gaming input is along the left border of the television. It accepts SD cards which is a nice feature for viewing photos on memory cards.

My TV is set within a room with a large 3 paned sliding glass door, a dual paned eat in kitchen window and an adjacent living room with large windows. The antiglare screen is good for the most part but direct sunlight does still cast a glare so it is not 100% effective. However, glare is not obtrusive. Reflections are minimal.

Standard definition, 720 P and 1080i signals are depicted with clarity and vibrant color.

Even in the age of LCDs taking over the market, designs like this model really make the market best for all consumers.

If you are looking for an excellent value, three HDMI inputs will be enough, and you have external speakers, this television will serve you well.

I highly recommend this model. It's a wonderful addition to your home theater system.

5 out of 5 stars Beautifull TV   October 12, 2008
The tv looks beautifully. Almost as good as the picture it produces. I use it with a ps3. Watching bluray on this thing is amazing.

4 out of 5 stars Not what I had expected, but I am happy with it.   October 4, 2008

This was my first HD TV. When I bought the TV I thought I will have free access to HD programs on TV, I was wrong, Buying HD TV does not mean you can now view TV in HD free of charge, Comcast is charging me additional $10 a month, in return they will send you a new HD cable box, The Quality of the picture is very good for HD programs, but for regular programs you may loose some resolution and the picture may look worse than standard TUBE style TV
