I got Mr. Beer "pale ale" deluxe kit from my wife for Christmas.
I was anxious to try but did not expect much.
The process was very simple. The Mr. Beer people have really "dumbed down" the system. Much appreciated
Stuck to the directions and after 3 weeks tried my first beer with my wife perched over the sink so we could spit the stuff out if it turned out bad. But, it was really very nice. Since then my friends and family have given it high marks and I've just ordered and receive the supplies for my 2nd attempt.

Also, The customer service line is really very helpful. When in doubt
Call them.

What I like about Mr. Beer is that it is easy to do and it is capable of making good beer. The system can make 20 12-ounce bottles at a time which is a nice quantity for a beginner.

The plastic bottle caps it came with are very poor. My first batch was mostly lost because the caps would not seal properly. You need the metal caps with the fulcrum machine to put them on.

If you are a beginner, this system is ok. Give it a chance with the 2nd batch of beer. good luck

i bought this for my boyfriend and he loved it. he really enjoyed making his own beer and was especially proud to share it with friends and family. VERY EASY TO USE.
