1 out of 5 stars Caphlon problem   July 18, 2008
I purchased the 12 inch Calphlon sikillet. I put"Pam" in the skillet before cooking eggs. The eggs still stuck to the skillett. I think this may not be real Calphlon I think it is an "a fake". I have other Calphlon skillets and they don't stick!!!! "Bad Buy"""""""

5 out of 5 stars Best Yet   July 17, 2008
For cooking everything from stirfrys to braising meat, this skillet fits the bill. It heats evenly and is easy to clean. This is the best pan I have ever used so far.

2 out of 5 stars Ok pan, but not worth the money   July 14, 2008
I bought this pan about two months ago for the great reviews and cheap price on Amazon, I've used it a total of 5 times and I have to say I'm not at all impressed. What they don't tell you is that it's not that easy to wash and its not non stick. However, it does heat up quite quickly. I also wasn't to happy about putting it the dishwasher, as it had the ashy texture to it when it came out. Its extremely heavy as well. Not really worth the price but it does get the job done. Point being, Ive had better and paid way more less.

4 out of 5 stars nice for the price I paid :)   July 14, 2008
I knew it was kind of non coating pan and that's why it's not an everyday pan. You just have to put some more oil?? and not put something that easily stick to the pan like egg, meat....etc. When I first cook my pan fried rice, I almost through this pan out because eggs were stock like crazy even after putting enough oil. Well I decided to cook my egg on a seperate pan and it came out great even it takes little more time and one more coated pan when you cook fried rice. Other that sticking issue, qualities of this pan is more than ok. It's durable for what I paid $29.99.

3 out of 5 stars Great pan if you are a good cook, but remember, it's not non-stick!   July 14, 2008
I bought this for little over $20 and wanted to give this pan a try for all it's great reviews... I liked the pan at first look. It's quite heavy for an aluminum pan (I've seen thicker ones, but this is among the top three thickest I've seen). Size is about quite right for me, though I wished it was a little deeper, but I can live with it.

Now for the negative part, I've owned this for about a month now and tried it out a few times, but it always turned out to be a disaster for me. I am used to non-stick pans and this one is definitely not one (I knew this while buying it, but didn't expect it to be so bad). I know it all depends on what and how you cook, but for me, I am still trying to justify my purchase :(

pal :)
