We press most of our clothing and I can iron a shirt in 10 minutes instead of the 25 minutes it took with my other iron. I didn't like to do the manufature's recommendation of frequent cleanings so I switched from tap to bottled water. The first time I used this iron I almost burnt my fingers because I had the steam setting too high. Now that I have learned the lesson of moderation, I am ironing happily ever after.

My sister has this iron, I never would have paid this price for it had I not used her's when she had surgery. I did some ironing for her and I was amazed how good it was. I have now used this iron 7 times on my husbands dress shirts instead of dry cleaning even without starch they look great and it doesn't take as long to iron as it use too...i highly recommend it.

I have used Rowenta steam irons for the past 20 years but always had trouble with the steam spitting. Finally, I have taken to spraying my laundry rather than steaming it from the iron. A friend abroad had a steam generator iron (Philips) which I tried and which impressed me. When I looked for one here I found several with differing wattage and water compartments. I chose the greatest wattage and the largest steam compartment,as well as a brand I was familiar with. I am having a good experience with the DG-980. I do a lot of sewing. The only warning I would give is:be careful of your hands when the steam is generating. It is
VERY hot.

Purchased it for 1 reason; to get the wrinkles out of my military uniform. Each day, I steam my uniform and it ends up looking like it's fresh from the dry cleaners. Simple and effective.

I have used this product for a short time and I find it is amazing. The steam generated is exceptional. Ironing is quick and easy. Sewing is my hobby and this product steams new seams and hems with a professional finish, quickly and easily. The upkeep required is a very simple process. Really enjoy this product.
