5 out of 5 stars No more McDonalds!   March 1, 2008

I love this toaster. When our old one died I debated whether to get another plain 2 piece toaster again or get something more. I'm glad I went with option B. My family pulled this out and couldn't start making egg balogna (only pre-cooked meat available) sandwichs quick enough. The toast, eggs and meat come out perfectly and all at the same time. I even put 2 pieces of bread in late and popped it down. They all came out evenly and hot. Many manufacturers have gone to short cords for safety, but if you have cabinets, all that heat dries out the wood. This toaster features a longer power cord so you can pull it out to the front of the counter. If there's a downside to this toaster, it would be the fact that the meats have to be pre-cooked. This will only steam them. Raw bacon isn't going to work. Another would be the footprint of this unit. It is about the size of two and a half standard toasters so make sure you have enough counter space. If that's not a problem, then buy this toaster and don't forget the eggs.

I gave this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas and they absolutely love it! They use it every day and love the fact it's quick to make breakfast.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointed   January 7, 2008

I was looking forward to this appliance and it arrived Christmas eve. Sad to say that the egg poacher did not work in spite of following all directions. My husband even tried it, to no avail. The toaster worked well, but the egg part did not.

This item ships from Polsteins Home&Beyond and here is what has transpired in trying to have a shipping label sent to me:
1. Called Jan 3 and spoke to CS (which is a feat in itself) since when you call, there are usually people ahead of you and it is difficult to talk with a rep. After two times of hearing the voice mail message, the system hangs up on you. - Nice customer service!

2. The rep told me that I would receive a label via e-mail within 24-48 hours - never happened.

3. I called again today, Jan 7 and left another message to have them call me.

Unimpressed with this company and their customer service.

1 out of 5 stars Figment of Amazon's imagination   October 30, 2007

Ordered from the Amazon we site but Amazon does not disclose that its suppliers may not be willing to supply. The supplier shipped the wrong item but charged and invoiced for the correct one. Supplier sent a UPS label to ship the wrong item back but then informed me after the 3rd call that they would not ship the ordered item unless I reordered from their web site. I am still awaiting a credit from the supplier. Caveat Emptor - the virtual retailer that Amazon has become is now looking like its out of control. That's what happens when the founders get their jets and yachts....

PRO's:
1. Basically it does what it says-
2. I like the toast/muffin & eggs getting done at the same time.
3. The egg poaching works very well.
CON's:
1. There is still a horrible burnt paint smell coming off the toaster evert time I use it - Which, Given that it is MADE IN CHINA, makes me a tad nervous.
2. For some reason the toast comes out very dry, regardless of the setting.
3. It is very large & clinking looking.
4. Just saw it at a local warehouse store for 1/2 of the price on Amazon.
