Just to let you guys know, Cutco hires what they call "web solicitors" to ype up their products on sites like these. Don't fall for it.

I am a Cutco salesperson. Before all of you skip over this review, understand that I own this set of Henckels. I own it because someone gave me this set as an exchange for a set of Cutco. This is not an uncommon thing. I have been selling Cutco for 3 months, and I have been given multiple Henckels sets. To hastily say that Henckels is far superior to Cutco is quite lackadaisical. In all truth, Cutco is the best selling knife in the world for a reason. It has the strongest steel (440a High Carbon Surgical Stainless), and strongest handle material (Celcon, essentially bowling ball material), and the best garuntee. Cutco is not Miracle Blade, our Forever Garuntee is the only one of its kind backed by the Better Business Bureau. But also know that Henckels is a great knife. I gave it four stars because it seriously is second best knife, and the second best seller. Most of the people giving technical reviews below are quite unqualified. I have not been trained to diss on Henckels, but to build it up. Know that if you buy Henckels, you are getting a great knife, but you will be paying a higher price and will probably end up replacing it a few times. So just do some research and I leave the choice up to you. Oh yeah, please dont charismatically lash out at someone who says Cutco is better than Henckels, dont be jealous... just do some reasearch. These knives are the bomb. Absolutely the best set of knives you can own.

The Cutco mouth-breather (who graces us with three of the same reviews, as if we need his advice even once) needs to be hit in the head with a ball peen hammer, to straighten things out up there. Cutco knives are vastly inferior to Henckels, in terms of blade quality, balance, and overall construction.

At any rate, go with the 5 Star series, and you won't go wrong.
