They crack and break with normal hand washing June 24, 2007

I have now had five of these glassed crack, all in the same area, and the only thing I can attribute this too, is normal hand washing with warm or hot water.

None have ever been put in any dishwater, but the cracks and chips are signifant!!! This is complete junk and in fact should perhaps be recalled.

I have never encountered anything like this.

Great Glasses November 12, 2006
I was skeptical about buying these glasses as a lot of the reviews posted here mention that they are easily breakable. I've been using them for a couple of months now and they're working out great for me. I dont have to take any special care of em, just use em and stick em in the dishwasher and they come out fine.

Really nice looking too, got tons of compliments.

i thought they looked a little strange with the indents---but the shape of the glass makes it fit perfectly in your hand and prevents slipping through your fingers--best set of glasses i have seen in a long time

Dangerously fragile October 1, 2006

I bought these classes earlier today because they are attractive and inexpensive. I placed them in the dishwasher to clean them all prior to use, and one was cracked and a small fragment of glass had broken away after the cycle was done. I then checked Amazon's reviews, and found that this was a common experience. They're going back to the store tomorrow.

I agree that these glasses are great looking and easy to hold BUT they are fragile. We had one break the first time through the dishwasher (assumed it was our fault) then about a month later one broke in the dishwasher BEFORE we even ran it. Same kind of break as the first one. I am so disappointed because I love them otherwise but I am taking them back . . I need glasses that can stand up to everyday wear AND wash!
