5 out of 5 stars Review for KitchenAidKFP750OB 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor, Onyx   March 23, 2007

I love my new KitchenAid Processor, it is wonderful and works fantastic! I recieved a great price on it in comparison to the local stores and even received a special 1 day promotion code plus a rebate! All in all it was my best buy of the year, thanks to Amazon.com!

4 out of 5 stars Fast and easy to use   March 18, 2007

I'm a rooky gadget user, and my husband is trying to get me to try new things. This was easy to use without a lot of buttons, and the parts assemble easily as well. I did have a little trouble figuring out which slicer was 2 mm and which was 4 mm...they aren't marked so you have to judge the thickness. I've used it to shred cheese and slice and puree vegetables, and it is extremely fast. The large bowl size worked well for the recipe I was using. I'm looking forward to the option of having the smaller bowl size as well.

5 out of 5 stars powerful machine   March 18, 2007

I had a Cuisinart for eighteen years which was also very good but this one is much more powerful and precise. You have to be careful to put small quantities of food at a time as it processes so quickly and will turn things like raw potatoes to mush. Other than that it is an amazing machine that makes life so much easier.

4 out of 5 stars Kitchen Aid KFP750   March 18, 2007

I love my food processor. The only negative thing so far is that after shredding carrots; it left a orange tint stain on the clear plastic parts; which did not all come out even after I used bleach.

5 out of 5 stars Makes lots of things go quickly   March 14, 2007

I have never had a food processor before, but it seemed like half the recipes lately that looked interesting required pureeing something.
The first thing I learned was that you should have several things that you want to use this for when you get it out. The first time I tried it, to slice some potatoes, it took longer to set the machine up than to slice the potatoes!
Because several reviewers mentioned it, I tried using it to make cookie dough. It worked OK, but if that's the main thing you are planning to do, you'd probably be happier with a mixer.
I am very happy with the way it purees things (mostly for soups and sauces, but I've also used it to make falafel), but my absolutely favorite thing about it so far has been using the mini bowl to chop parsley. Chopping parsley by hand has always been way down on my list of things I like to do in the kitchen, and doing it with the food processor yielded finely chopped parsley almost instantly and with minimal mess. I envision more parsley in my future.
