4 out of 5 stars Not all Martini's, but a Nicely Made Book with Great Ideas!   January 4, 2007
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

Not all of the drinks in this book are technically Martini's, however it is nicely put together. The recipes are well written and the accompanying photos (and there's one for every drink) are beautifully done. I bought this for my roommate after having seen it at Crate and Barrel (I knew Amazon would have a better price, of course!) and she loved it. I haven't yet tried any of the drinks, but having taken Mixology and majored in Culinary Arts, I knew the recipes would produce tasty libations based on ingredient combinations.

As stated, however, some of the "martinis" are really just cocktails in martini glasses, but it's all in good fun anyway, isn't it?

5 out of 5 stars great book!   October 6, 2006

This book has a great variety of martini recipes - I'm usually a fan of basic dirty martinis, but there are so many options for interesting drinks in here, I'm looking forward to branching out and trying them all. It's a great book to use if you're throwing a party, since there are drinks in every color, flavor, and for every season. So far I've tried the Pineapple Champagne martini, which was really good. The book also has a ton of really beautiful photos.
