I love the mixer. Performance is great and it is very quiet. I have only used this a matter of a few times and the silver cover over the on /off switch is coming off. I secured it with gorilla glue. One of the negatives of buying on line. You can't go exchange a defective item.

This Kitchenaid hand held is the best! When I do need a hand mixer, I grab this one. This powerhouse has an automatic feature that kicks the motor into overdrive when you encounter a tough mix. I've mixed chocolate chip dough with it without a problem. I love the beater design exclusive to KitchenAid--it seems to mix and aerate the dough more than the others. Great mixer!
