Nice Stockpot December 9, 2007
Gumbo,stews,soups,chili... if you are looking for quality cookware to make these mouth-watering dishes, than look no more. The Calphalon 12-quart stockpot handles any cooks needs and is a wonderful additon to ones kitchen. Excellent quality, cooks evenly, easy to clean and the price is right!

I probably don't cook as much as most of the other reviewers here, but this thing is absolutely great for the price. Very light. Very sturdy. Even and quick heating. I had wanted one for awhile (since Alton had recommended it on one of his early Good Eats episodes). I had Googled and found the thing hadn't been on sale in about a year a half, so I finally decided to go ahead and pay full price. It went on sale less than an hour after I bought it. I emailed Amazon and they refunded me the difference right away. Great support.

Great Pot, Great Price! November 29, 2007
I just received my pot today. I was quite pleased! I thought it would be a lot smaller, but it is quite large; the price was just FANTASTIC considering this is a quality piece of cookware! I have used Calphalon pots and pans for years...they last forever and always cook food evenly...A definite recommended buy!

I ordered this, swayed by the rave reviews and the much higher 'retail' price, but after it came in decided it may be just too big, my 8 or 9 quart, which is also much heavier weight, is really big enough. Now, as to the big-deal $40 price, it's not so great. People are selling them on eBay for as low as $5, new, and even with a steep shipping it's less than 40 w/ free shipping. Regret the purchase, too late now to send back. A gift, maybe?
