I'm giving this Zojirushi one star in order to get your attention. Read the other reviews for details on performance. You should be aware that this skillet is really quite small for anyone other than a single person or couple, and even then it may well be too small. Measuring just 10 inches in diameter at the top, the sides are contoured so that the bottom is even smaller. So just be sure you can live with this size skillet. If you're not sure, take out a ruler and a piece of paper and draw a 9 and one half inch circle. This can tell you if its small size will be acceptable.

I'm a Zojirushi fan, but this is the best. It's easy to clean and also easy to use. Perfect to make shabu shabu or asian hot pots.

We used the heck out of our old skillet so we decided to invest in a high quality replacement. We picked this one based on the reviews and it is everything that's been said and more!

This thing is perfection. I really love it. I don't know why I need a stove or an oven.

I have own two electric skillets, and I have to say this is the best one so far! I love the constant temperture, which allows me to cook, or fry perfectly. No, hot spots in the pan and it heats up to 460 degrees..not many electric skillets do this. It perfect for two, maybe four but no more. The depth of the pan is 2 1/2 inches, and the nonstick is fantasic!
The lid is not completely air tight due to two spout on the sides of the pan, which is good because then there is no boil overs and you can keep the lid on. I have seared steaks in this and they were beatuiful, the crust was complete on each side , and moist inside. I love this pan, worth the dollars !!
