Great little appliance February 1, 2006

I got this griddle because I couldn't use my cast iron one on my new glass cooktop. Well, let me say that I am delighted with it. Everything cooks evenly and there is virtually NO mess. It is the easiest-to-clean cooking appliance I have ever had. Everything I've cooked has turned out great: pancakes are perfect, bacon and sausage done just right, and London broil done to perfection.

Yes, this was one of the best and most reasonably priced purchases I have ever made.

THIS IS AN AWESOME GRIDDLE. COOKS AN ENTIRE PACKAGE OF BACON AT ONE TIME, LOTS OF PANCAKES DEPENDING ON SIZE OF COURSE. BUT CAN EASILY CUT YOUR TIME SPENT IN THE KITCHEN SO YOU HAVE MORE TIME FOR THE FAMILY. I WISH I WOULD'VE GOTTEN IT ALOT SOONER. ONE COMPLAINT IS THAT IT DOES HAVE HOT SPOTS THAT COOK ALOT FASTER THAN THE OTHERS. ONCE YOU FIGURE OUT WHERE THEY ARE THOUGH, IT'S EASIER. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE. IN FACT I GOT MY SISTER ONE FOR HER BIRTHDAY A FEW WEEKS AGO. SHE LOVES IT AND HER KIDS TRY TO THINK OF NEW THINGS TO COOK ON IT TOO.

The Hamilton Beach 38510 StepSaver Jumbo Griddle lives up to it's name. It is Jumbo. Large enough to fry pancakes, eggs and bacon at the same time in turn saving steps. The griddle has an even temperature through-out the surface and keeps that temperature, even when I have 4 pancakes, 4 eggs and 4 slices of bacon on at the same time. It saves clean up too. All you need to do to clean is wipe off with a damp cloth. The only negative is storage because it is so big. Be careful not to scratch the nonstick surface when storing. Because of it's sizes I store it vertically nonstick side against the cabinet wall, problem solved. Over all it's a keeper and I give it a thumbs up!

This is a very good griddle that has a very good non stick coating. It is a little smaller than I expected though, and only holds 6 large pancakes while my last griddle held 8. The heat distribution isn't perfect, but may be as good as you can expect from an electric griddle.

i was never a big breakfast person until now. i love this griddle!! makes perfect pancakes, french toast, eggs and grilled cheese (the only things I have made so far) and its so easy to clean. i dont have a dishwasher but it wipes clean - no mess!! i recommend it to anyone.
