Bring summer inside in the winter, and don't let the weather spoil your weekend get-togethers. This is a very versatile product, and you can do lots more than burgers and brats. The next time you want to grill a steak, start a little earlier, make some foil packets of thinly sliced potatoes and onions and throw them on the grill. Make some salad. When the packets get "squeezably soft" set them aside to rest, turn up the heat, and grill your steak to your preference. Hint-rub a few drops of "liquid smoke" on both sides your steak before grilling. Bon Appetit!

Before purchasing, I read every review on this item since I live in a high rise and the residents have gotten the go-ahead that outdoor grilling is acceptable only with an ELECTRIC grill.
The big issue was whether or not it produced too much smoke since many of the other owners wanted it for indoor use.
Yes..it does produce smoke, but no more than grilling anything else over the stove indoors. If you do not have a vented fan above the stove I would not recommend it for indoor use.

On the other hand, for OUTDOOR USE, it is FANTASTIC! Beautiful grills marks, 3 settings and anything in between. Easy to clean, I use a toothbrush to get the little spots between the grill rows cleaned and a sponge with soap. The surface will allow for 3 large chicken breasts, one large steak. I liked the idea that during so-so weather that I could store the grill in an outdoor closet on a shelf, since it doesn't take much space. I actually put it away in one of those over sized plastic zippered bags that blankets come in, which keeps it clean from dust/dirt when not in use.

the best thing about this grill is the weight, since it is heavier than most grills, it cooks food much better, and it doesn't make so much smoke either, I highly recommend it

to everyone who chimed in on how great smokeless this grill is.. what are you people on? SERIOUSLY.. what is your definition of smokeless.. or hell, how do you use this grill that it becomes smokeless? I gave it a first-run this weekend with some burgers and my kitchen got so smokey i had to use fans to blow the smoke out the window..

purchased it on others claiming it to be smokeless and that wasn't anywhere near the case

is it a great grill? yea, it heats up quite nicely, leaves marks on the food, nice countertop space saving design, etc..

it's a great grill

but smokeless? I'm rating this 2 stars when I would normally rate it 4 stars because that's how annoyed I am at people who wrote smokeless but the product couldn't be further from the truth

what you people cooking on?! LOW?! .. smokeless.. -sigh-

I love this grill! Now, I know that nothing beats charcoal but this is the next best thing. I don't "get" gas grills: All of the mess and none of the flavor of charcoal grilling. I have tried and given up on stove-top grill pans; they were hard to clean, too heavy, not really non-stick. Also had a George Forman grill and didn't like it; the food was not really like grilled, somehow. This grill is exactly what I wanted and needed. It heats up quickly, gets *hot* enough to really grill, has a really non-stick finish and is very easy to clean. I have had it for about three weeks and have so far grilled chicken, salmon, and beef (rib eye steaks tonight). All turned out perfect, fast and delicious - next best thing to charcoal grilling! You do need to oil either the food or the grill (I brush a little olive oil on whatever I'm grilling). I highly recommend this grill.
