5 out of 5 stars Varoooooooooommmmmm   June 7, 2007
Thank heavens for another wonderful Kitchenaid product. This one will not disappoint. I cannot wait to get those pitchers of Margaritas made!

1 out of 5 stars What a disappointment!   May 28, 2007

Just a month or so after using this blender, the rubber coupling started causing trouble. It heats up and gets soft. That means when you are trying to get dinner finished, the blender quits working. After the coupling heats up a few times, it gets brittle. The last time I used the blender, the coupling literally crumbled.

I get tired of companies who lack quality control. My blender was useless within the year. How much money did Kitchen Aid make on this defective product? This kind of thing shows a clear disrespect for the consumer.

To make things worse, KitchenAid customer service was no help. I probably spent fifteen minutes 'chatting' with a KitchenAid rep and they seemed to have no idea what the trouble could be. Curious, as this seems to be a common problem. All they could offer me was to send the whole blender in to be fixed at my cost. Thank goodness for Amazon. I learned what was wrong and how to fix it from this feedback page--Thank you Forrest Foltz!

Call me crazy but I want a product that works. And when it breaks, I want to know what the problem is and how best to fix it. I didn't get either from KitchenAid. This product is only worth the fuss if you get it free.

1 out of 5 stars Overpriced and under-quality   May 22, 2007

This is a cheap, over-priced product. Don't waste you money! I used my blender to make ice and fruit drinks, which were never blended fully. After only a few years of use the plastic coupler broke and now the item is useless.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent Blender -- Powerful, Though Sometime Too Powerful   April 1, 2007

I have owned one of these blenders for more than two years now and love it. That said, don't ever take the top off while you're blending or you'll end up with a kitchen full of wet mess. The blender is so powerful that you can't sneak in more ice, etc. without stopping it. Other than that, I have no complaints. It's powerful and efficient and easy to clean. And I have had no problems with any part breaking or malfunctioning.

3 out of 5 stars Ok, but be ready to repair the rubber coupler...and here's the easy way how!   April 1, 2007

This is not a bad blender when it works. The rubber coupler failed on ours and I noticed that the rubber had deteriorated over time (after 2 years of use). The easiest way to replace the coupler is (1) order a replacement coupler from KitchenAid or other on-line parts source, (2) unplug the blender - important! (3) insert a long, flat blade screw driver up through the bottom vents of the blender (this prevents the coupler and main drive shaft from turning) (4) then use pliers to twist off the old coupler and screw on the new one. Easy peasy!

Cheers,
Carl & Sherri
