I am well pleased with this tea maker. It makes making ice tea a breeze now. Wish i would have bought it sooner. Love the slim pitcher style.

Bestest Iced Tea Maker Ever!!! April 15, 2008

Okay, maybe that's a slight exaggeration. But it is a great iced tea maker. I have used the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker and continually found myself scraping moldy tea bags out of the basket-- which was difficult to clean, by the way, due to the internal ridges molded into the plastic-- because I would forget about the basket once I had my tea brewed. I have no such problem with the Hamilton Beach. The basket is inside the pitcher and being smooth inside is easily cleaned (although sadly not dishwasher proof). Once my tea is brewed, I just pop open the top, toss the used bags and rinse out the basket. Voila! Done.

The pitcher is a much more convenient shape than the round, bulky Mr. Coffee ones and is readily stored in the fridge without hogging too much room. My only complaint is that, since I like flavored iced teas while my better half prefers plain ones, the Hamilton Beach doesn't come with a second pitcher (which my Mr. Coffee did).

The Hamilton Beach also takes up less counter space than the Mr. Coffee and, as the pitcher basically clips into the base, you don't end up with tea all over the counter from a misplaced pitcher (as we did on more than one occasion with the free floating Mr. Coffee pitcher).

Overall, I am quite pleased with my new iced tea maker and look forward to a long, hot summer relieved by many gallons of delicious iced brew!

This ice tea maker is so easy to use and makes perfect tea. It is a slim compact design and looks great on the counter! What more could you want?

If you drink a lot of iced tea you may want the larger 3-quart maker but this is a great item.
