5 out of 5 stars Excellent!   May 27, 2008

What can I say about this grill that hasn't already been said? I loved my first Foreman, the little blue mean lean grilling machine. It changed my busy life diet from eating microwaveable dinners, soup and eating out to a healthy diet including veggie burgers, fish, and kebabs. But, it was too old and tough to clean (it was easy at first, but as it aged if it was not cleaned immediately the stuff would stick to it so much that it started degrading the teflon until it was all bubbling up and a pain to use). This Foreman is perfect and solves this problem. Super easy to wipe clean and plates can be washed. Big enough that if we have company we don't have to cook food in rounds of 1 at a time. I've even grilled veggies in it and it came out great. Love the waffle maker too. Still have to try the flat plate. Oh, and the temperature control is very good, it gets hotter than my old little one, so it's even slightly faster to cook things in it! I also think the G5 (this grill, GRP90WGR) also cooks meat quicker and better than the little Foreman. One thing about both grills in my experience is that they are not that great about browning the outside of meat very crisply. But, they do make steaks/meat with some browned marks in them, and the important thing to me is that the meat comes out juicy and delicious if you cook it right =) I love this thing, and will never be without it again.

We love the versitility of the Goerge Foreman. The grandkids love to have waffles everytime they stay over. We do a lot of indoor grilling and it works wonderful. The only thing that we have had trouble with is the griddle for pancakes. We never could get them to brown properly. Other than that it is a wonderful product.

4 out of 5 stars Forman Grill G5   May 27, 2008

Although I am extremely happy with the Forman Grill, I was a little disappointed that it did not come with 5 sets of plates. Based on the pictures, I was expecting to get 5 complete sets: one for steak, one for chicken, one for baking (shallow), one for baking (deeper) and one for waffles. In fact, the steak plate shown goes on the top of the grill, there is one for chicken (bottom plate), one baking plate (bottom plate) and a top and bottom for waffles. I have used all the plates, and am extremely happy with the performance and ease of clean-up.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product for Fast DInners   May 15, 2008

George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Removable-Plate Grill with 5 Plates, Red

At the time I bought this, this was $128. And worth every penny. The first thing I cooked were two quarter-pound pre-made Angus burgers, frozen solid. They cooked in 6-10 minutes and I think I got almost an eighth of a pound of grease out of them. That really opened my eyes.

This product is great for quickly cooking meat from both sides and browning it just the way I like. And what takes thirty minutes on the stovetop takes eight on the George Foreman. Our family has been using it almost every day since it showed up.

Pros:
Fast
Drains grease and doesn't spatter everywhere
Versatile (we made great waffles and hotdogs)
Can brown meat nicely but still leave it oh-so-juicy inside
The plates/teflon clean fairly easily.

Cons:
The steak plate, with it's grill design, needs some digging with the sponge or a toothbrush.
When you open the grill, grease can drip down in the hinges -- remember to jiggle it a little.
Where are the extra plates? I'd like to have another set of the plates that come along with the grill.

No kitchen is complete without this product.

I had a couple different GF grills over the years, and this one is by far the best one I've had. I love the fact that the plates can be removed and cleaned. I've even put them in the dishwasher and they come out sparkling. My only problem is that it's hard to store all the extra plates because they don't stack on top of each other well.
