5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   July 17, 2007

Have had charcoal, gas, propane, big, small and every kind of grill you can imagine.
THIS IS THE BEST.
Easy, light, solid and well made - I use it twice as much as any other grill I've owned.
It's an absolute winner!

5 out of 5 stars problem squirrels   July 2, 2007

Though squirrels will chew through just about anything, I have found that wrapping things in aluminum foil (heavy duty) seems to deter them. I use at least 2 layers and leave it kind of crumpled. For some reason, it keeps them away. Tabasco sauce works pretty well, too--you just have to coat things pretty often.

4 out of 5 stars just what a beginner would want   June 29, 2007

This grill is just what a beginner would want. Easy to use and light weight, particularly after removing the cast-iron cooking grate. I read some reviews about grill not being sturdy while cleaning the grate. Though that is true cleaning the grate using warm water and little soap works just fine. Happy to have bought it. looking forward to take it to camping trips

4 out of 5 stars Squirrels   June 19, 2007

Bought my Q a year ago. I absolutely love it. It's the first grill I've ever used that puts grill marks on my food!! The surface area is unbeatable with evenly distributed cooking heat. The Weber Q is worth every penny, except for ONE thing...squirrels. Shortly after purchasing my grill (which I leave covered on my patio), I noticed something had been gnawing on the gas control handle. Soon discovered that squirrels were responsible. Thinking they might be attracted to the scent of the propane, I started disconnecting the tank and storing it separately when not in use. To no avail. Soon the critters were chewing on the handles and feet, even sitting under the grill to get better access to the unchewed plastic parts. I emailed the company pictures of the damage along with my model and date of purchase, requesting the they give or sell me replacement plastic parts. They were not very helpful. The insisted they couldn't help me unless I found some number in the handbook, which I had long since thrown out.

I really love this grill, but I can't afford to replace it every two years (the length of time it takes the squirrels to eat through the legs and control knob). Any suggestions on how to keep the squirrels away??? PS After half the plastic parts being eaten away I decided to store the grill in my shed. The result of that exercise is that now the squirrels are eating the rest of my plastic patio furniture--something they had not ever done before the Weber Q showed up. I was forced to choose, so the grill is now back out to distract the squirrels from my deck box, table, and chairs. HELP!!

5 out of 5 stars Pleased!   May 20, 2007

The Weber Q120 is just what we needed for camping in Europe. Most campsites only allow grilling with gas grills, and we could not find anything small enough to use until we saw the Baby Q and Q120. Getting the propane canisters appear to be no problem as the Baby Q and Q120 are also sold on the German economy. I like the rugged appearance, and ease of cleaning. Food is grilled to perfection with ease not found with a charcoal grill. I foresee this grill's use for many years.
