This is a more elegant and efficient solution than the hook on the inside of the lid. However it's still not perfect. The vent on the lid can get caught on the holder and the holder itself can fall off. But currently this is the best solution for storing your lid while cooking.

I'm so glad that I bought this. It was so simple to put on the grill. It holds the lid so that you don't have to put your lid on the ground. You'll be glad that you purchased the Weber Slide-Aside.

I think the name is slighty miss-leading. Definetly a put aside vs slide aside. However it is a handy accessory, much easier to use than the hook on the inside of the lid. It also doubles as a wind block when lighting in windy conditions.
After reading the reviews I was some what concerned about buying this product. Once I used it, I knew it was not being returned. Definelty not a necessity but very handy to have. I am now the proud and happy owner of the Weber Slide Aside.

This holds the lid of the kettle so you don't have to put it on the ground when you adjust the meat.

This piece of equipment has no value to a Weber griller. It was a total waste of money.
