5 out of 5 stars my weather station   July 31, 2008
the weather station,wc-2310twc is installed outside my porch window.it is the first thing i look at in the morning & the last thing i look at before i go to bed.the accuracy of weather predictions & conditions is well suited to my wants.

4 out of 5 stars la crosse weather station   June 8, 2008
The first thing I noticed was the price. If I remember correctly it was something like 80% off.

I had no problems setting it up, and it has worked perfectly. The one thing I really like about it is the ac adapter. I don't have to worry about batteries. I did put them in to serve as a backup. It has done a pretty good job predicting the weather. I would say it is about on a par with the local weatherman.

I would recommend it for anyone interested in the weather. It is one of the buys I have made at Amazon.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Good   June 7, 2008
I bought this unit over a month ago. It works fine. It's a pretty good job getting a weather pole and a good location. However, after I got that done the rest was pretty easy. I do have trouble with the instruction being clear on some things. I have trouble clearing the rain gage. It doesn't work like the instructions say. I usually have to reset the whole unite to clear the rain recordings, probably not doing something correct. The wind speed is 2 minutes behind but I knew that up front. All in all I"m satisfied with it and recommend the product, for the price you can't beat it.

1 out of 5 stars low quality, no support, not recommended   June 2, 2008
I've had this unit for about 1.5 years. The computer I/F worked for the first month and then quit. The wireless I/F works ok ( I'm running it about 75' ) but the update rate is too slow to support recording any wind gusts. Rain gauge doesn't record properly. Support never returned calls or e-mails so I'm stuck with a broken unit. Not recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Great Value and Functionality!   October 29, 2007

I found this item at a substantial discount at H******** A****** (a specialist in closeouts), and am delighted with it in all respects. I made a cruciform mast out of 3/4" PVC and mounted the anemometer to the top upright, and rain gauge on one of the arms with "U" bolts fashioned out of threaded rod. All the wires are threaded down through the upright and out the bottom and back under the eaves of my garage, at the roof peak of which the mast is fastened. It helps to have a telephone wire RJ-11 plug kit and pliers to shorten the cable lengths appropriately.

Everything worked great out of the box! The instructions are deficient in that they lack illustrations showing how all this goes together, and one has to read them closely to discover that the rain gauge must be partially disassembled for mounting!
