5 out of 5 stars Great Product!   June 9, 2008
Wonderful little coffee maker. I wanted a travel size coffee maker that used a filter, and this Black & Decker model works great!!

5 out of 5 stars Convenient   June 5, 2008

It's perfect for an afternoon quick, hot & fast cup of coffee. I like to use my own large ceramic mug instead of the plastic cup that comes with the coffee maker.

4 out of 5 stars Liked it so bought another one!   June 2, 2008
My sister gave me one of these as a gift a few years ago. I am the sole coffee-drinker in my house so it is a perfect size for me. I use it every morning. I use filtered water, grind whole coffee beans, and mix them with something called Teechino from the natural foods store. (I like the almond amaretto flavor best.) That way, I can brew the full, large mug and not get too much caffeine. Works for me. I use paper #2 Melitta filters, rather than the permanent filter, to eliminate the bitter oils, which are also supposedly bad for you.

Anyway, I love this appliance, sometimes I even pack it in my suitcase on trips, and I just bought a new one because the old one is starting to sputter a bit after 1000 uses!

Just a warning - ALL the tall drink mugs in this world, especially those with handles, are very "tippy" so don't have them where a spill would be a disaster (near paperwork, homework, computer, small kids, silk dress, etc!)

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   May 31, 2008
This is the best product on the market for anyone that is looking for a personal coffee maker. One great feature is that it turns itself off a few minutes after brewing. Definitely a great buy at $25 or less.

3 out of 5 stars perfect for gas station coffee - horrible for gormet   May 27, 2008

This thing does a great job for weak coffee with no fuss. I highly recommend it. I really like the travel mug too. If the travel mug wasn't so great this would be a 2 star review. I also like that something in the kitchen is black and decker...funny.

Now for the bad bits...filling the dripper over 1/2 way with grounds results in grounds getting everywhere, including in the coffee and making clean up a chore. If you like your coffee strong at all this is not a good product for you. I gave mine away. Keeping the dripper under 1/2 way filled with grounds works great, but the coffee tastes like brown water to me.
