5 out of 5 stars Stuff White People Like   November 7, 2008
This is a hilarious book that would make a great gift or be a funny coffee table item. It really nails what white people like with an explanation why things are popular. it is comical and can be picked up at anytime. Truly reccomended.

5 out of 5 stars Honesty ... insight ... laughs ... genius   November 2, 2008
-- Calls socializing the point-scoring game it is.

-- Calls 'alternative' the conformity-gone-mad it is.

I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend. It's short funny stories make it the perfect book as extra entertainment for the pooping experience.

2 out of 5 stars I'm not white + I like 95% of the things mentioned in the book = I feel being left out   October 19, 2008

My title says it all. It almost feels like I'm not entitled to go to Whole Food or brag about recycling cans because I'm not white. Don't tell me I'm missing point of the book--if it is possible to be interpreted this way then it is already problematic enough.
This book may work under a different title, but terming the group "white people" is simply racism. Of the white-elitist type.

5 out of 5 stars A MUST READ..........   October 18, 2008
This book was introduced to me by a friend......loved it so much I bought 3 copies on Amazon. One for me, 2 others to pass on to friends. This book is loaded w/witty sarcasm.......a trait I share w/all my close friends. You've got to appreciate Landers truthful look at how we white people really are. We all just need to get over ourselves & that's Landers bottom line. **And yes, I am a HUGE Devid Sedaris fan.
