Great juicer for the money April 11, 2007

This was the 3rd juicer I tried in this price category, and it was by far the most substantial appliance, the easiest to clean, and seemed to be the most efficient juicer. However, to maximize juice extraction on any machine, try re-juicing the pulp; there always seems to be enough moisture left in the pulp to re-juice and get that extra ounce. One really great feature on this juicer is the ingeniously designed pitcher it comes with which has a removeable strainer (we don't like the foam) and a lid, so you can pop the leftovers in the fridge. My kids and all their friends love this recipe: 2 apples, 4 carrots, and a hunk of fresh ginger. We call it the ginger cocktail - Yum! Happy juicing!

Excellent juicer, very powerful, the feet chute is wide enough to accomodate even medium sized apples and large cucumbers as well. It's not as loud as I expected and meshes aesthetically with my other modern appliances. The pulp is bone dry (with a slower juicing hand) and a lot of juice is extracted from each piece of fruit/vegetable. All in all it was money well spent and is a product I use often. It's also very easy to clean!

This is an excellent unit.
Things to keep in mind:
1) Use a bag to line the waste container before you juice.
2) Clean up juicer first, especially the filter using the included brush, before you drink the juice.
3) Let the juicer take the veggies and other 'product' at its own pace. When I forced the product through the unit, the pulp was still moist. When I let the juicer take its time, and pushed lightly on the plunger, it took more juice from everything.
4) Use a standard citrus juicer for oranges, lemons, and grapefruits.
5) Consider using alternative means of 'juicing' bananas.

This motor is amazing, the plastic construction is amazing, the price is just right.

It's easy to use and does a great job exracting the juice from any vegetable or fruit. It's also very easy to cleanup, especially with the brush that comes with it.
