4 out of 5 stars Rated Differently, missing, & broken parts but pretty good.   January 15, 2008
I ordered this mattress as a gift for my married son & wife. It arrived in Georgia about the same time we visited for Christmas and we used it for a week. Problem, the 12 V. auto elec. adapter for the pump was missing and the house voltage charger did not work. We had to inflate by mouth. The company responded promising to send 2 new chargers and a new pump. The mattress was comfortable and seemed reasonably sturdy for the price but the advertisement on the box said "for all terrain use" while the warrantee information restricted its use to "indoors only". We wanted it for camping, etc. As long as "indoors" means tents or on tarps we will be satisfied. It has a nice felt-like surface that holds sheets in place nicely. It also has a nice deflating valve. Overall we like it but rated it a "4" because of the missing & broken chargers, etc. Maybe a "5" for followup service if the new stuff gets here soon.Queen Size Sport All-Terrain Inflatable AeroBed Air Mattress Bed with Dual Power Pump

5 out of 5 stars Quick, Comfortable Extra Bed   January 14, 2008

After reading reviews of many different air beds, we ordered 2 Aero Sport All-Terrain Twin Beds to take on a trip. Our children used them in a hotel instead of getting uncomfortable, bulky rollaway beds, cots or sleeping on the floor.

After charging the air pump for 24 hours as instructed, we tried it out. The pump connects easily, fully inflates the bed in under a minute, and releases easily.

The bed has a velour texture on top. One child used a sleeping bag and pillow, the other chose twin bed sheets. Both worked well.

The beds deflate very quickly when you are ready to store it. The bed folds up compactly and fits into a nice nylon carry bag which is included. One charge will probably inflate the bed several times, although we did not try it more than twice over a few days, it seemed very robust and did not strain at all.

One suggestion, as with any new plastic/vinyl items, it should be inflated and left in a well-ventilated area for several days to get rid of the "new plastic" smell which is very strong at first (my children objected...)

Highly recommended!!

4 out of 5 stars A good night's sleep   December 19, 2007

My wife and I are wondering if we should chuck our regular mattresss, after sleeping on the Aero Sport for several nights. We've encountered no problems with the motor or batteries or AC supply. I think that folks just need to plan ahead and recharge the batteries before the unit is needed. Here's an idea: if you are on the road, and you happen to have a DC-to-AC converter powered through your cigarette lighter, then simply keep the air pump battery hooked up to recharge as you roll down the highway toward your sleep destination. Or, because the air pump motor literally screws off of the mattress, simply keep the motor's AC cord plugged into an outlet in your garage or utility room. Done deal.

We have another air mattress from REI, but the Aero Sport is more comfortable and more stable with its baffle architecture.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good for the money   November 22, 2007

We're very happy with the product, and plan on using it when we have more people than beds and for camping (we really like to rough it...) Quality seems very good. We like the additional cushioning at the one end, like a pillow. Inflates quickly and firmly (on battery). Which is really the only down side I see, as others have noted. You have to have the battery charged in order to use it, or have a car. If you plan ahead, there's no issue, but if you leave the battery discharged (as you should), you need to remember to charge it before your guests come over. Again, a non-issue if you're going camping and have your car nearby. Probably a cost saving measure on the design. So if you know it going in, you should be pleased. Side note: on the preliminary charge (to test it), I could have inflated it 4-5 times. Although, it probably wouldn't have been as firm on the last 2 times.

Aero Sport All-Terrain Queen Bed, Brown

Camping for a 6 day hunt. Aired this product up only 1 time. Very firm, and did not deflate. I charged the battery as indicated by the instructions and did not have any problems. No Leaks. I researched many products before making this purchase. I would highly recomend this bed. I tested the 12 volt side of the pump and it works fine.
