5 out of 5 stars Great product   September 23, 2003

This grill does a great job while saving space. The cart is a must and the grill and cart went together in only a few minutes. The hose to attach to a regular tank is a good idea for freq use. If you are looking for a smaller grill (1-4 people), this is the one for you!

5 out of 5 stars Amazing what good design can do.   August 28, 2003

It's not often that you come across a product that is so well designed that it sets the benchmark for similar products. Weber's designers have come up with a winner - small, cheap and efficient. The ingenious (and simple) design of the burner/grate combo results in evenly cooked food - I've covered the entire porcelain-coated cast iron grate with eggplant slices and they all cooked evenly - a first for any grill that I've used. And the less-is-more design philosophy means an affordable product. Note that this is a contact heat grill - it's not possible to cook with indirect heat - so use your other 22" charcoal model for those grill roasted chickens.

5 out of 5 stars OUR BEST WEBER YET   August 9, 2003

We lived in a house and owned both the large Weber charcoal bbq and a Weber Smoker. We moved to a condo, where our first floor is on the second floor of the building and rather than a yard, we have 2 balconies. Off went the bbq and the smoker to our daughter. I then received Weber's BBQ magazine and saw the Q. I ordered it the same day. It is wonderful. My husband can now bbq again (I am again gaining weight!), and whatmore, we also smoke ribs and tri-tips in it and they turn out tender and delicious. Even though it is compact, the cooking area is incredible. When the family comes to visit we bbq for many and have ample room on the grill. We also bought the cart and replaced the coupling so we are able to use a standard propane tank.

Thank you Weber - and Amazon.

5 out of 5 stars If you want a propane grill, this is it!   August 4, 2003

If you are looking to buy a propane grill, this is the one to get. Not only can it be a standard back yard grill, it is also portable. It is well constructed and designed. It comes with a grilling guide that helps you get started. Everything that I have cooked has turned out great and I haven't done much grilling before this. I recommend getting the Weber Q Rolling Cart.

Why get a standard propane grill when you can get one that is both standard and portable.

5 out of 5 stars Love the Q!   July 29, 2003

Husband & I recently bought a Q, after many years of happy grilling on a Weber charcoal grill. We'd been shopping for a gas grill for quite some time, but could not find a quality small grill. Most of the gas grills are just TOO BIG!

We're usually grilling just for the two of us and we wanted a gas grill for the convenience. The Q certainly fits the bill. It's great! I've cooked steaks, burgers, chicken, fish, pork chops, zucchini, onion slices -- well, you get the picture -- and they've all turned out perfectly. It gets plenty hot and heats very evenly. The side tables are a marvelous addition. I was concerned that they might get "icky" when you fold them into the Q, but they're designed so that only the tiny little points on the corners touch the grate.

The cart is a worthwhile addition. It could be a bit sturdier, but it works well enough and the Q fits snugly on top of it and sort of "locks down" under some plastic tabs. I bought a 5' LP adapter hose for $10 at the local sporting goods store (look in the camp stove aisle) so I can hook it up to a 20# tank. My only complaint is that the cart instructions say DO NOT store a tank on the cart, so the tank has to sit beside the Q. I'd rather be able to store the tank on the bottom rack of the cart, but I guess Weber has its reasons for instructing you not to do so.

All in all, a great purchase!
