5 out of 5 stars Best wine opener   July 16, 2007
This is the best wine bottle opener I've ever used. In fact, this is the second one I've had. The only problem with it is that you should not let anyone unfamiliar with it try to use it---they'll break it, sure as shootin'. That's why I've bought a second one--- I left mine lying out on a table at a party. Big mistake! However, I like it so much that I searched and searched for a replacement, and was thrilled when I found one.

5 out of 5 stars Vacu Vin Winemaster Corkscrew   May 13, 2007
this is the second Vacu Vin Winemaster Corkscrew that I have purchased. I now have one for my vacation home as well as my full time residence. This device puts all the other wine opening devices to shame. Opening a bottle of wine is no longer a struggle as this product is incredibly easy to use and the corks come out of the bottle like a breeze. I highly recommend this product

1 out of 5 stars You need three arms...   March 23, 2007

I returned this--absolutely unusable. Could not keep bottle engaged WHILE pulling down the two rather unforgiving arms.

This is by far the best wine opener I have ever used. It is beautiful, a work of art, just to start with--therefore it can be left out and does make a great conversation piece. (I have the "clear" WineMaster, which is nicer than the black, but the black is nice, too.)

It works wonderfully, from the attached foil cutter, to the heavy duty parts--everything does what it is supposed to. First, you lock the opener onto the bottle. This took me a few tries to understand, but now that I understand the concept it is a piece of cake to do (I'm not great with mechanical things). Then you manipulate the levers (raise/lower the long ones and the short ones each once) and very easily not only does the cork come right out, but it is easily released from the opener so that you can save it if you want to, and it is not damaged.

It is well worth the price. It also would make a great gift for someone special.
