I love the design of these glasses. They look great. Unfortunately, whenever I purchase items like this I seem to always end up with something made by one of the less accomplished artisans. In this case, one of the glasses I received has a noticable slant to the inner area that makes it less attractive while the second glass has air bubbles along the rim. This is dissapointing when you are paying a premium for design.

Others have mentioned how light they are. This is true. I was almost afraid to hold them in my big, meaty paws. I will have to see how they hold up.

These are so cool that I bought some for myself and three other people on my xmas list. They have a great Jetsons-meets-science-lab look, and are great for Sake too. SLeeeeek!

Form AND Function -- Not as Fragile as others Claim! December 10, 2005

I bought 4 of these tumblers about 6 months ago. I use them daily and love them! I'm not overly careful while using the glasses yet none have broken. I find them to be quite resilient and very beautiful (especially when filled with coffee).

I expect that the reviewers who gave them poor reviews were careless with them and, therefore, should stick to acrylic tumblers. Please keep in mind that these are GLASS and not indestructible before posting negative reviews. Glass (borosilicate or not) does tend to break when dropped or when metal objects are dropped onto it!

I bought a pair of these for sippping my Saturday morning cappucino. They are elegant in their simplicity. They keep the cappucino warm for extended enjoyment. Yes, they DO look fragile, and I treat them accordingly. I would make THIS purchase again!

A wonderful concept that needs more work. These glasses look wonderful and they feel great in your hand. However, they are very fragile; one of mine broke on the inside by merely dropping ice from the ice maker into it. And, they do sweat ~~ just not as readily as regular glasses. I would not buy them again.
