Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The art of bathing cheeses in wine and wine must, long perfected in Italy, is now enticing cheesemakers worldwide. This fantastic collection offers selections from Argentina, Spain and Italy that are all truly world-class. Three distinct producers, from three distinct regions, have created three distinctive and memorable cheeses, with the wine and cheese pairing harmoniously - a must try for wine enthusiasts! Ubriaco al Torcolato La Casearia is a small company located in Treviso, Italy devoted to selecting regional Italian cheeses and transforming them with wine baths. Torcolato wine marc gives the cheese a distinct, penetrating, characteristic scent reminiscent of raisins. With its well-balanced, light and intense flavor, this is a genuine treasure. Malbec Wine Sheep Cheese Made by La Carlota del Monte, outside of Buenos Aires, this cheese is made only from pure sheep's milk. Malbec is a traditional "Bordeaux varietal" originating in the Southwest of France. The red variety has experienced the best adaption to Argentinian soil, providing exceptional wines, in fact, some of the best Malbec specimens in the world. The combination of these two is simply divine! Murcia al Vino This delicious wine-bathed cheese is made from pasteurized goat's milk in Murcia region of Spain. This region has a rich variety of grasses, shrubs, and wild herbs on which the goat's graze to give the cheese a distinctive taste and aroma. The unique feature of Murcia al Vino is that it is washed in red wine during ripening. The wine deeply tints the cheese, giving the rind its characteristic burgundy color and imparting a strong floral bouquet. Murcia al Vino is a real gem. It not only has a bold, delicious flavor, it has the intoxicating aroma of a good bottle of wine. Please note that any item temporarily out of stock will be substituted with a similar item of equal value.
