Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Tupelo honey is considered one of the world's rarest and finest honeys. With a light caramel shade that is clear (not foggy like some honeys), Tupelo honey is made from the Tupelo tree found only on remote Southeastern rivers - and blooms for a few days every April. Tupelo honey never crystalizes - so its beauty and flavor is long lasting. Tupelo's flavors arrive as a series of distinct impressions, a parade of melon, crème brulée, butter, dried pear, and a hint of wet stones. Underneath it all is an unmistakable herbaceous note, the barest hint of Southern Moss. The finish is long, lasting more than a minute before fading away entirely. The perfect addition to your breakfast in the mornings, or in your tea for a relaxing break from the day! Definitely a treat for any guest in your home or as a gift for someone special.

About the Savannah Bee Company
The Savannah Bee Comapany was established in 2002 in Savannah, GA and has grown by leaps and bounds while still remaining true to their boutique feel and environmental consciousness. Honey and bees have nearly mythological properties that have been known throughout history to mystify and cure. Honey contains almost all vitamins of the B complex which are needed in the human body for digestion and metabolism of sugar. Honey was also the drink of the gods of Olympus - it symbolized knowledge, learning, and wisdom for the ancient Greeks.

Honeybees provide environmentally-friendly and natural solutions to everyday needs and so does Savannah Bee Company. They do no animal testing and use no artificial colors, no petroleum-based ingredients, no parabens or preservatives and no sythetic frangrances. The Savannah Bee Company salutes the majesty of nature and invites you to live with it in harmony with yourself, as you enjoy their natural products.

5 out of 5 stars A Rare Treat   May 20, 2008

Tupelo Honey is smooth and buttery with a luxurious texture and silky sweet lemony finish. I've tasted quite a few types of honey in my lifetime but nothing comes close to this perfection. Whether you put this in a floral tea or eat it straight on a warm scone, you will experience a heavenly and rare treat. It was worth the price and I'll definitely order this honey again.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet Indulgence   February 8, 2008

I was relieved to find this sought-after commodity on Amazon. I was able to get my Savannah Bee Company 100% Pure Tupelo Honey Tower 'fix.' I guess you could call me an 'enabler' too since I set my own honey-trap and ensnared my husband as well. He can't go for long without this decadently sweet indulgence. The Savannah Bee Company 100% Pure Tupelo Honey Tower

5 out of 5 stars Like no other! Take it from a 'honey' lover!   October 31, 2007

Tupelo honey is like no other honey you have ever tasted. It is harvested for only a short amount of time every year, and it never crystalizes in the jar because it is so pure. Hence it's price. But it's worth every penny. If you are a honey lover....or just occasionally like a bit of natural sweetness in your tea, this will give your tea, toast, or crumpets an incomparable flavor. Not too sweet, not too strong. Smooth. Satisfying. Just right. Personally, I think it accents white tea, vanilla bean tea, oolong tea, or fruit flavored teas perfectly!

Oh....and for those of you CSI Miami fans, Tupelo Honey is what was used in the series premiere! They showed it being eaten off of sweet apples....and...well, insinuated it being eaten off of some other luxuries that I won't get into. *smirk*

As for the brand of Savannah Bee Company.... I have never been disapointed in any purchase I have made from them. It is always high quality. Williams-Sonoma also carries this brand and the Tupelo-type at certain times of the year. Bath & Body Works had them make a Tupelo Scented Hand Soap earlier this year (which was very true-to-smell!!!). I have had great experiences no matter where I have bought their products from.
